Media Advisory Board of Regents Chancellor Merryl H. Tisch State Education Commissioner John B. King, Jr. To Attend Community Forum Event in East Setauket On Tuesday, November 12, 2013
Chancellor Tisch and Commissioner King will attend a Common Core community forum event with Senator John Flanagan in Suffolk County on Tuesday, November 12, 2013. This is one of at least four meetings the Commissioner is holding on Long Island, and one of nearly 20 public listening events he is organizing across 水果派AV解说 State.
The forum will be hosted by Three Village School District in the auditorium and cafeteria of Ward Melville High School from 6:00 PM. to 8:00 PM.听 The forum is open to the general public.听There is a seating capacity of 900 in the auditorium and 400 additional seats in the cafeteria where the event will be live streamed.
School District Superintendents within the 2nd Senate District will bring a group of representatives from each school district, and will also select several speakers from each school district to address the Commissioner.听This format ensures that each school district has an opportunity to be heard and to promote a broad, open dialogue that is inclusive of many view points.
